Alessandro "Asso" Stefana is an Italian musician, renowned for being a brilliant guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer.
Born on September 25, 1981, in Brescia, Italy, Stefana's journey into the world of music began at a young age started with classical guitar studies, fueled by his passion both for the guitar and unconventional sounds. Drawing inspiration from different musical genres from folk music and primitive blues to soundtracks, psychedelia, desert ballads and electronic ambient music Stefana crafted a unique blend of sounds, making his musical signature absolutely distinguishable.
Throughout his career he has been involved in numerous musical endeavors, both as a solo artist and as a collaborator. He has released several albums showcasing his skills as a guitarist and composer, earning critical acclaim for his innovative approach to music-making.
Alessandro has collaborated with a diverse array of artists and bands, from the recording sessions with PJ HARVEY on “The Hope Six Demolition Project” (2016) and following her on the World’s tour to MIKE PATTON “Mondo cane” (2010), CALEXICO “El Mirador” (2022), MICAH P. HINSON “I lie to You” (2022), PENGUIN CAFÉ “Rain before Seven…” (2023) and many others, contributing with his signature guitar to a wide range of projects.
